CORRUPTION IN SPAIN AND THE SPANISH COURT SYSTEM

Corruption is one of the big problems we are having in Spain in the last years.
It affects politics, the banking system, trade unions, the business organisations, the regional and local governments ...
I think that this cannot be solved until our Court system is very much renewed. Or Courts are slow, the procedures are despairingly complicated, the Court clerks normally do not like their work, and try not to be working. So it is very easy for defendants to block the Court Procedures.
Until now, nobody has been interested in the Court system working better.
Judges and Court clerks have adapted their professional life to the situation: things do not work, or work very, very slowly, and nothing can be done; and nobody can ask us to work better, nor speedier. ..... Companies not willing to pay their debts (nor respect the Law) know that a case will take years in Court. ..... Governmental bodies are happy not to be controlled by ineffective Courts. ..... Corrupt politicians are happy that the Courts will not check their activities. ..... Etc.
In my thought, the essence of the problem is the working in Spanish Courts. It is not a matter of the people working there. But of the system. So many useless procedural steps, so much paper ..... An urgent reform of the Spanish procedures is needed. Our politics, our economy and our social system in general, would be much better.
